Adidas Superstar 80s taking the “Decon”

You’ve seen the collaborative versions from BAPE x Neighborhood and Sneakersnstuff x Social Status, and now adidas Originals officially unveils the Superstar BOOST. Strategically hidden inside the original and iconic adidas superstar silhouette, the timeless shell-toed sneaker is upgraded with Boost foam cushioning that only makes itself known through a die-cut window on the outsole and within the medial arch of the midsole. The Superstar BOOST debuts in men’s sizing in the traditional white upper with black accents, constructed in premium elk leather. The women’s version of the shoe makes its entrance in two decidedly more eye-catching colorways of metallic bronze and silver.

Adding to the clean look of the sneaker is laser etching on the shell toe and the three stripes branding on the side panels. The two color options include Running White and Core Black with both of them being finished off with off-white rubber soles and brown detailing on the tongue branding and heel tab.This iteration of the classic shell toe comes comprised of a one-piece leather on the upper for a clean aesthetic. Adding to the clean look of the sneaker is laser etching on the shell toe and the three stripes branding on the side panels.

Adidas Originals has released their latest version of their iconic silhouette, the adidas superstar bold. The shoe that is now part of all sneaker culture gets updated with a new platform sole, perfect for the ladies, with all the essential design remaining unchanged.Dressed in its original color scheme of White and Black. The shoe features a White leather upper with Black detailing on the Three Stripes, heel tab and tongues that includes hints of Gold. Its iconic shell toe remains true to form while sitting atop a thick bold rubber sole.adidas Originals elevated the Superstar, turning it into the Superstar Bold earlier this year. All-white everything makes for a bright pop in any shoe rotation, but there’s also a new “Linen Green” iteration if you’re looking for a light touch of color.

The adidas NMD is one of the most popular sneaker models in today’s sneaker market, so naturally there was plenty of hype surrounding a collab with Pharrell that finally dropped in July 2016. The sneaker did not disappoint, with a unique lacing system connected to the midsole, and the very flashy asymmetric graphic decoration of the words “human” and “race” on both shoes.Other colorways would drop later, including powder blue, green, red and a purple Family & Friends version with the words “friends” and “family” written in Japanese on both shoes, but for many, the yellow colorway stands out as the most memorable, as the black lettering against the yellow backdrop serves to perfectly illustrate the message behind the sneaker.
