I wont buy rs gold lie, there is grind to it just like other MMORPG's. But really if your not in a guild that's why most people lose interest. If your in a guild(like myself) there's always people on to play/quest/raid with. The average time in wow to get lvl 80 is a bit longer than I've been playing in Demon's Souls, and that is if you have even a little talent. Making more and more toons/PVPing/gear grinding/questing is about the only way to spend time in these games. I've bought a bunch of games that are a mix of Action Adventure/FPS/RPG/RTS/TBS/Puzzle, and I've spent $55 65 less than an MMOer who only plays MMOs for 6 months..
I wanted to update my answer. Runes of Magic is now fully live. It's A LOT like World of Warcraft and is totally free to play. 2 4 man raids (5 and up is in my opinion. It is just slow in comparison to a full team. Once you go to 4 and under it starts to get legitimately harder because roles start doubling up that otherwise shouldn Don get me wrong 5 man is way harder than 10 man.
But until then, we can enjoy Fallout 3 and Rouge Worrior and sex. MMORPG ness would be cool. Not like WOW though. The battle at E3 has been fought, but the war is not over for supremacy in this generation of video game consoles. Now it is your turn to tell us who you think presented the best hardware and software during E3. I do enjoy playing on the Xbox more than the PS3 for a few reasons:.
Create your character's physical and clothing appearance to what you want. If your character is a fighter, go for more muscles than skinny arms. Get a clothing style that would work with the image you want. You will not want do much runecrafting before level 91. You need less than 240k nature runes to superheat 99 smithing and of course a few extra 100k would be useful to alch monster drops and bow/staff 91 to 99 runecrafting would be 1.4m nature runes, witch is too much. Personally I would craft about 550k nature runes when I can double them, I would need 225k pure ess.
The second is the observation that electronic game sure sounds a lot like gambling addiction. The thrill of competition and winning is all there and the isolation from friends and family is there too. The real risk of serious financial loss is not there, but other forms of loss in the gaming world may be just as important to these gamers..
EQ2, I know I should really like it, but I couldn't quite put my finger on why it was ho hum. And then I read a comment about it say, "EQ2 puts so much effort into not doing anything wrong that it often fails to do anything right." It's a well put together game, but it's just. Meh.
