Solak I agree, it perfectly viable and maybe recommended that someone melees the boss. But even if you go back further than those 2:Sanctum guardian if you far enough away you don take damage from the melee attack at all.Then to Magister, the boss is wholly anti melee with the stun spec if you MD for too long.
Aod has issues with its melee hits, although these are mostly avoidable, if not slightly annoying on occasion.Whilst it not recommended to melee Telos, I wouldn say it directly because of anti melee mechanics, so much as just the advantages that magic has in general.I've only used melee in ed2 and I generally melee everywhere I can, so, from a primarily meleer's perspective:
Verak Lith only uses melee in md, as long as you are the tank. Verak tends to random aggro a lot in trios which indeed makes it annoying, but as long as you're paying attention to who it's aggroing and pray accordingly it's not too bad. In solos simply praying melee and switching to magic prayer if you need to leave md (spires/eggs for example) works fairly well.
BSD hands can be annoying but I've found that escaping when the purple stuff is near the hands and taking a step to the side followed by stalling an ability as you're running back in (or barge) avoids that mechanic fairly simply and you don't lose much or any dps if your escape is during gcd.
Barrage spells only consume runes when the effect procs. This is a 100% chance on auto attacks and I think 5% on eoc abilities?
