The game becoming stuck has nothing to do with AFK'ers. It happens when someone selects a colour (later playing a Colour Change or Irena card) overly slow. The game out time, 11 minutes
Maplestory M Mesos after the cards have been dealt, and you will get points as for a maximum-length game.
If you stop you get no points and can not play for 10 minutes anyway, so you're better off remaining in the match and hoping everyone else can also. Because if one person stops, the sport gets partially unstuck: players still can't click on their cards, but turns do move from one to another and also the AI plays for everybody. And then in the end (which usually happens in exactly the same 11-minute timeout) the match punishes everybody for "AFK'ing" because they didn't play their cards and let the AI do it to them...
In terms of out voting people: no.It would indicate that anybody who is down to one card could get kicked out from another three, who might not be buddies but are all in agreement that they don't need him winning. As Loonacm said, the game itself should be stricter with AFK'ers. It decides one is AFK after 3 rounds of them not playing. So, it should only kick them out, rather than continuing to perform for them after awaiting their ends out.BTW, within my experience, there are not that many AFK'ers. A great deal of botters, but the bots do play, so that they are far less of a nuisance. A few of the bots do not draw from the deck, so if they don't have a card to perform with their switch drags on, but that is not quite as bad as someone who never plays promptly. Nobody gains anything from genuinely AFK'ing, so individuals don't do this on purpose.
This is largely concerning the Madhouse, but it applies to a lot of events in Maple, that have an element of RNG and limited efforts. So, also things like the Dark Lords of Darkness, Hunter's Club, SAO (although that you had a paid element), and so on. An event ought to have a means to be certain everybody wins, provided they strive hard enough.
Examples for the Madhouse event: Allow going back when reaching the Escape space, without consuming another pass. It's still possible not to find a certain page, even if allowed to wander the Madhouse forever, but it gets vanishingly unlikely. Make it possible to buy any diary page you are missing by paying some (large) amount
buy Maplestory 2 Mesos of coins. This could either be the Vending Machine NPC, or it might be some brand new shady NPC (such as a greedy Orderly) that only appears after you've cleared X amount of rooms.
