Despite having great agriculture based economy and potential for development, the entire country is slowly and gradually moving towards industrialization and commercialization. Though both are crucial for progress but still the trade off with the agriculture should be balanced. For example, the province of KP, having limited agricultural land cannot afford to continue with what has been happening for the last few years. Rather than supporting the agriculture with agro based processing, the investors in general and local affluent in particular prefer for non stop commercial projects, especially housing schemes. Today, the establishment of an industrial estate over 200 acres may be extremely difficult, but converting the same area of agricultural land into housing scheme proves to be the easiest option. If the situation continues then after a decade or two there will be lot of luxurious homes with out own food sources.

There is not only a need to ensure a safe ratio among business options but also adopting a proactive approach towards sustainable agriculture on the already reduced lands. Hydro phonic farming, mushroom farming, etc. If an investment of around Rs. 8 lac within a container requiring not more than 500 sq yards can ensure fodder production equivalent to 25 Acres, then isn't it worth to be considered?
